Junior Water Guardians
Protecting the River Starts With Us
All the water in our neighborhood eventually flows into the Manatee River through ponds, drains, and small tributaries.
Kids and families can help protect aquatic life by noticing how we care for our yards and waterways.
Look for:
💧 Storm drains that lead to ponds
🌿 Grass clippings or fertilizer near water
🐸 Wildlife living near retention ponds
When we keep chemicals and trash out of the water, we help protect the amazing creatures that live here.
It’s cool. It’s a Stormwater Thing.
