Re: Mediation-March 19, 2026 River Wilderness Foundation & Islands Association

Dear Residents,

The River Wilderness Foundation and the Islands Association participated in a mediation on March 19, 2026. The purpose of the mediation was to avoid a costly lawsuit and see if a settlement could be reached regarding disputed maintenance and repair claims between 2022 and 2025.

Mediation is confidential by law. All participants in the meeting are restricted from discussing details of the meeting. Any violation of this rule is subject to sanctions.

At this meditation, the two communities came to a mutual agreement and successfully concluded the lawsuit initiated by the Islands. Funds for mutually agreed upon outstanding maintenance and repair items in the Islands will be reimbursed to the Islands by the Foundation.

The Foundation will research methods for satisfying the payment of these past items. We are hopeful this will be accomplished without a special assessment.

The 2026 Budget does include funding for maintenance and repairs in The Islands.

We will also utilize best practices to budget for future needs in the Islands, in Tracts 100 and the portions of Tract 606 containing the community ramp, community park, and community parking for which it is responsible, in accordance with the governing documents of the Foundation and the Association’s Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions and the December 7, 2022, Amended Article XII(J)(o) of the same.

We believe all residents will be glad to put this situation in the rear-view mirror and move on. Both groups have been making positive strides over the past years regarding communication and collaboration in making our entire community a beautiful home for all our residents.

Regards,
River Wilderness of Bradenton Foundation
