Dear Residents,

Re: Yard of the Month – May

This month’s Yard of the Month holds special meaning as we proudly recognize the former organizer who helped make this tradition such a valued part of our community—Chas R. and Dana Apple, at 3005 Wilderness Blvd. W.

Their landscape is truly a standout, featuring a vibrant display of red and white flowers that create a crisp, eye-catching contrast. These bold colors are beautifully complemented by variegated plantings woven throughout the design, adding depth, texture, and visual interest at every turn. The result is a thoughtfully curated and well-balanced landscape that feels both polished and welcoming.

Beyond its beauty, their yard reflects something even more meaningful—a deep sense of pride, creativity, and ongoing care. Every detail speaks to the time and attention invested, serving as an inspiring example of what makes our neighborhood so special.

It is especially fitting to honor Chas R. and Dana, whose dedication helped shape and grow the Yard of the Month program into what it is today. Their continued commitment to excellence in their own landscape embodies the very spirit of the program they once led.

Thank you, Chas R. and Dana, for your lasting contributions and for continuing to set such a wonderful example for our community.

Susan & Jonathan Hill
