Dear Residents,

Re: Congress, July 4, 1776….

“When in the Course of human events” the first few words of a document that would light a flame which would create a nation and continue to burn in the hearts of millions of people to this day, 250 years later.

The 4th of July, known as Independence Day, stands as a profound celebration of freedom, equality, and the enduring pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness. It commemorates the moment in 1776 when the thirteen American colonies boldly declared their independence, asserting the right of people to govern themselves and shape their destiny. This historic proclamation not only marked the birth of a nation but also enshrined principles that continue to guide the democratic ethos of the United States.

Freedom, as celebrated on this day, is multifaceted: it reflects the liberty to speak, to think, and to act without undue restraint, while honoring the responsibility such freedom entails. Equality, another cardinal theme, reminds us that each individual, regardless of background, deserves the opportunity to thrive and contribute to the collective future. The pursuit of life and liberty, enshrined in the Declaration of Independence, is not merely a historical ideal but a living mission—urging citizens to engage actively, challenge injustice, and nurture a society in which all can flourish.

As families gather to watch fireworks and communities convene for parades, these traditions serve as poignant reminders that the 4th of July is more than a spectacle of celebration; it is a reaffirmation of values that define the nation’s character. In reflecting on freedom and equality, Americans honor the sacrifices of those who fought for these rights and recognize the ongoing challenge to ensure that liberty remains a tangible reality for all. On this day, the nation collectively embraces not only its history but also its enduring commitment to the principles that make a free and just society possible.

The HOA board wishes the residents in our great community a very happy celebration of our Nation’s 250th birthday.

The HOA office will be closed on Friday, July 3, and will reopen on Monday, July 6, at 1:00 pm.
