August 10, 2026 Dear Residents, Re: Pest Control Services – Mira Home LLC & Grit Marketing LLC This will advise the community that Mira Home LLC and Grit Marketing LLC will no longer be admitted to provide pest control service in River Wilderness. These are the individuals who travel throughout the neighborhood on hoverboards, ringing doorbells, soliciting their service, which we have been dealing with several times throughout this year. They will be labeled “Deny Admittance” at the gates on the Community List, and we request that any residents using either of these companies, please find alternative pest control services. Following is some additional information regarding their activities and 2 articles on this subject. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the board at info@rwhoa.org. FDACS’ Administrative Complaints against Mira Home LLC and Grit Marketing LLC showed that more than 30 Grit Marketing employees conducted unlicensed pest control activities in Florida. Between March 3, 2025, and March 11, 2025, Grit Marketing employees conducted door-to-door sales and solicited over 600 pest control contracts on behalf of Mira Home, a licensed Florida pest control company. Further, FDACS’ Administrative Complaints showed that Mira Home obtained Pest Control Identification Cards for individuals who were not employees of Mira Home, but independent contractors through Grit Marketing, a violation of Florida law. Details of the Settled Enforcement Actions Mira Home LLC has agreed to the following terms: To pay the fine amount of $36,000 and comply with all laws governing the Structural Pest Control Act, Chapter 482, Florida Statutes, and associated administrative rules. Grit Marketing LLC has agreed to the following terms: To no longer engage in any regulated Pest Control Activities in the state of Florida, including, but not limited to, soliciting any contracts for pest control services.
