Dear Residents,
RW resident, Steve Chartier, is coordinating the creation of a Preferred Community Contractor List. We are very excited about this initiative as it will provide a great resource for residents when considering vendors and contractors to hire for home projects.
The letter below from Steve will explain the goals of this initiative. Please feel free to reply and provide all recommendations based on your experience with different vendors and contractors. The more community participation we have, the more diverse and far reaching the contractor information will be for all of us here in RW.
To provide input on vendors and for any questions, please contact Steve at rwpreferredvendors@rwhoa.org.
Letter From Steve:
Re: Community Preferred Contractor List
One of the most common challenges homeowners face today is finding reliable and trustworthy contractors for home services and repairs. Whether it’s plumbing, electrical work, roofing, pool service, remodeling, landscaping, or other home projects, many homeowners rely heavily on recommendations from neighbors and fellow residents they trust. Or they have to rely on internet searches that most of the time is a gamble on who to call and trust.
To help improve the homeowner experience within River Wilderness, we are currently exploring the development of a “Community Preferred Contractor List” for residents.
Our goal is simple:
To create a trusted resource of contractors that River Wilderness homeowners have personally used and would confidently recommend to others within the community.
As part of this effort, we are asking for your help.
If you have worked with a contractor that you would highly recommend, we would appreciate you sharing their information with us. Recommended contractors may include:
• Plumbers
• Electricians
• HVAC Companies
• Roofers
• Pool Service Companies
• Landscapers
• Handymen
• Remodeling Contractors
• Window & Door Companies
• Painters
• General Home Service Providers
Once recommendations are submitted, contractors will go through an independent vetting and review process which may include:
• License verification
• Insurance verification
• Reputation and review checks
• Professional standards review
• Responsiveness and customer service evaluation
The intent of this initiative is not to endorse contractors directly, but rather to help provide residents with access to a more trusted and community-supported resource when selecting home service professionals.
If you would like to recommend a contractor, please reply to this email at rwpreferredvendors@rwhoa.org and include:
• Contractor Name
• Service Type
• Contact Information (if available)
• Brief description of your experience
We believe this could become a valuable resource for River Wilderness homeowners and appreciate your participation and support as we explore this initiative together.
Beyond receiving referrals from residents of RWHOA, we will also be working on contacting contractors from outside of River Wilderness for various services and increasing our “Vetted & Trusted Community Contractors” so that the whole community benefits from such a list.
Thank you for your support and help,
Steven Chartier
