Bocce Through the Ages

From ancient Rome where nobles played,
On fields of sand where balls were laid,
Through Italy’s lanes and seaside shores,
Bocce’s spirit forever soars.

A game of grace, of aim, of cheer,
Passed down through centuries to here.
Now every Thursday, four to six,
We toss, we laugh, we trade our tricks.

Cool breezes bless each rolling throw,
The courts aglow with friendly glow.
Then back to the club, come stay awhile—
Happy hour waits with food and smiles!
